Expresions of interest for term 3, 2010 at School of Rock are being taken- we start Monday July26th. The end of term show will be on Sunday September 19th.
Lessons at School of Rock go from 4:30 to 6:00 Mon-Fri and we are now open on weekends as well, Sat and Sun from 8:30 to 10:00 AM (weekend rehearsals include a free BBQ for students). Each band rehearses only once a week. Tuition costs are $280 per 8 week term (which works out to 35 dollars a lesson per student- discounts apply for siblings). You have to pay for the whole term, even if you miss a lesson. (School camp excepted)
Marshall stacks, great big bass rigs, drumkits/ cymbals, microphones and a PA will be provided for you by Zen Studios. Just bring guitars, pedals, pics and sticks. If you wanted to be very prepared you could also bring guitar tuners, back up strings, batteries, etc.
At these School of Rock classes you will learn how to play songs for the show, learn how to play them together with other people, and learn how to really perform them. During lessons you will be guided by professional School of Rock musicians, with years of stage experience. We will also line up some Sydney musos to stop in and hear what you're doing,give you tips/pointers, or answer any questions you might have about the biz. You must attend every session!
