Extra Exam Period Added - Mid Year

Whilst the end of year exam period has served us well in Australia for some years, we've been talking to teachers about the need for a mid year period and we are pleased to announce a new mid year exam period in 2012. We want to work with teachers on the exact timing of both of our exam periods but expect a June Exam with an April entry deadline and an October/November Exam with a September entry deadline.

Exam Fees - New Structure and Pricing

We are excited to announce our new, streamlined and reduced fee structure for 2012.

There are now just 4 prices to remember for Grade Exams and Performances Certificates and they correlate with the colours of the Grade Books. Now we just have to remember "Yellow Book $75, Green Book $125, Red Book $150, Blue Book $175".

We hope the new lower prices for the Debut Exam and our Performance and Teaching Diplomas will encourage teachers and students to explore these incredibly cool qualifications.

Rockschool Australia!

On January 1, 2012 Rockschool Ltd launched independent operations in 10 regions around the world including Australasia. The move will see Australia and New Zealand overseen by a new Regional Representative and the establishment of a uniquely Australian presence on the web via www.rockschool.com.au and various social media tools to be announced.

Rockschool, the leading Rock Music exam board in the world, has operated independently in Europe since it's inception some 20 years ago. Until now, Rockschool exams outside Europe have been administered by Tinity College but the volume of exams taken internationally has allowed Rockschool establish an independent network around the world.

The move to independence in Australia allows a host of exciting new initiatives aimed at bringing the world's best Rock and Pop syllabus and exam system to more Australian students and teachers.
